Du 18 décembre 2018 au 2 janvier 2019, Grégoire Lauvin présente une installation sonore dans la grande serre du Jardin ds Plantes de Paris.
, which has been developed in connection with the Locus Sonus Stream Project creates a singular sound space by mixing streams captured and broadcast in real time from France, Japan and Australia : a source of the Drôme region of the south of France that has historically been considered as sacred, a stream running through a mountain forest near Kyoto and the tropical atmosphere of the swamps around Brisbane. These "open microphones" are installed for this project by researchers close to Locus Sonus : Cyber Forest (University of Tokyo Japan) and Leah Barclay (Biosphere Soundscapes, Brisbane University Australia).
Cette installation nommée Split Soundscape en lien avec le Locus Sonus Stream Project crée un espace sonore singulier mélangeant des flux captés et diffusés en temps réel depuis la France, le Japon et l’Australie : une source sacrée de la Drôme, une forêt proche de Kyoto et l’ambiance tropicale des marécages des environs de Brisbane. Ces « microphones ouverts » sont installés pour ce projet par les chercheurs proches de Locus Sonus Cyber Forest (Japon) et Leah Barclay (Biosphere Soundscape, Australie).
This project is part of Grégoire Lauvin’s practice based doctoral thesis completed in collaboration with laboratory AMU, CNRS, PRISM (Perception Representations Image Sound Music) and Locus Sonus (research group in Paris), Higher School of Art of Aix-en-Provence), under the co-supervision of thesis Jacques Sapiega and Peter Sinclair.
Grégoire Lauvin soutiendra sa thèse Split Soundscape, le diorama sonore : la reconstitution de l’espace sonore en temps réel le mardi 18 décembre 2018 au Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Bibliothèque de biophysique, 1er étage du bâtiment 26, 43 rue Cuvier, Paris) devant le jury composé de :
