week seminar aix-en-provence      1 - 4 november 2005




This seminar is opening the co-op joint research and educational program between ESA Aix / ENSA Nice and SAIC Chicago.
All the involved profs into the program are working together on the construction of the joint projects. In the same time, 2 american students from SAIC are visiting ESA Aix until the end of January: Noah Jurcin and Rory Shackles. All the seminars and projects will be documented and recorded for the follow-up during the three years program.

  • Schedule
    • Tuesday Nov 1st:
      Presentations, all participants present their work and their teaching practice i.e. a half hour presentation from each of us so that we can assess who might want to collaborate on what.
    • Tuesday afternoon/ evening:
      Informal discussion between individuals, development of ideas for exchanges & projects.
    • Wednesday Nov 2nd morning :
      Christian Tual presents the FACE program to the group of profs.
      Wednesday afternoon:
      we discuss proposed projects issuing from tuesdays session, make some choices on what to follow up.
      Wednesday afternoon:
      presentation of the ESAA/ SAIC exchange for the benefit local cultural representatives: The municipal council, Drac (arts council), Region PACA, Conseil General.
    • Thursday Nov 3rd:
      Work on finalizing an agenda, feasibility of projects, practical aspects (notably remote teaching - needs and organization) budgets etc.
    • Friday Nov 4th:
      Calendar, exchanges, projects.
