1911 __ Belgian PTT station
Comment : The first station in Belgium was possibly Europe's first regular broadcaster. The Belgian PTT station began broadcasting Thursdays and Saturdays from the grounds of the Royal palace at Laeken, a suburb of Brussels. Transmissions started in 1911, and ended when the station was destroyed in 1914 to prevent it falling into the hands of the invading German army.
