Locus Streamer for osX (2008/2009)





Locus Streamer for osX is a stand-alone app that requires no extra app and resources installation. This app allows to stream from your own osX machine while using your resources (internal or external soundcard, WiFi and Internet accesses, internal or external microphone).
Before streaming you must open a Locustream account and configure your mountpoint : go to instructions for participation


En parallèle du développement du patch Puredata pour les machines des streamers et pour la Streambox, nous avons programmé une application stand-alone, le Locus Streamer, qui nécessite l’installation d’aucun autre logiciel, pour les systèmes osX. Il permet de streamer à partir de sa machine portable en utilisant les ressources habituelles (carte son interne ou externe, WiFi, micro interne ou line input).
Avant de lancer votre streaming, vous devez ouvrir un compte Locustream et configurer votre mountpoint : : aller aux instructions de participation

Recommandations (included into the app installation)


This streaming application is to be used solely for the Locus Sonus Streaming project and its derivatives. 
It's delivered under the Creative Commons License NonCommercial and can be distributed only by 
Locus Sonus Lab.
You may not reverse engineer, reuse, or isolate any of this software package or its contents, that could 
be in conflict with the coherence of the Locustream project. Any suggestion of improvement and 
development of the application is welcome, support@locusonus.org.
The streamed sound material can be used by other apps and can feed other artworks, such as 
the Locustream realizations. In using this streaming app, you "manufacture" listenings for others 
and you become an author and an sound explorer for listeners.
By installing this application you accept the terms of this license.





Starting from 2010-2012, we have worked with Rui Chaves/SARC Belfast on a version of : LiveShout for Locustream. This version is not released.

But on 2014 we develop two new Locustream features:



Il est prévu de développer à partir de 2012 une application stand-alone pour le iPhone et ensuite pour tous les téléphones mobiles afin de développer les streams ambulatoires pour le projet Locustream.(en collaboration avec SARC Sonic Arts Research Centre Queen's University Belfast, en s'associant au développement de leur application LiveShout).
